Credit Counselor Profiles

Sarita Garg, the founding partner of Garg & Associates, P.C. has over seven years of legal experience, covering a multitude of different practice areas, including Criminal Law, Immigration Law,  Family Law, and Business Law.  Sarita Garg has been managing and overseeing the operations of the practice, now known as Garg & Associates, P.C. and has been actively expanding the practice for over two years now.

Sarita Garg attended the University of Alberta, Canada where she received an undergraduate degree, completing a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After graduating, she attended law school at Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law, and graduated in 2001. While at Ohio Northern, she competed in Moot Court Competitions, was involved in Mediation and Arbitration hearings and completed a Criminal Internship where she represented clients in temporary protection order hearings, criminal misdemeanor offenses, and traffic trials under a third year bar card at the Public Prosecutor's Office in Lima, Ohio. During her legal studies, she completed extensive research on state and federal bad faith insurance topics, including bad faith insurance claims, unfair settlement of claims, and misrepresentations made by insurance companies. After graduating from law school, she worked in the field of Immigration Law, working on Family-Based and Employment-Based Immigration cases including TN Visas, H-1B Visas, F-1 Student Visas, Fiancé Visas, Permanent Resident and Green Card applications, and Naturalization applications. After becoming licensed in Texas, she worked at a national tax advisory firm and specialized in providing federal and state tax credits, incentives, exemptions and deductions, among other specialty tax services to a broad spectrum of client s throughout the United States, ranging from individuals and start up companies to Fortune 1000 corporations.

Aside from managing the operations of Garg & Associates, P.C., Sarita enjoys music, theatre, movies, yoga and spending quality time with her husband, a physician, and the most recent addition to her family, a baby boy born in December of 2008.
